The Bar Beach to Dixon Park Mile is a scenic, point-to-point one-mile road race along Newcastle’s iconic coastline. The event will feature an elite field of 20–30 athletes alongside an inclusive general field, with a total capacity of approximately 2,000 participants.
The race will finish at a lively event precinct at Dixon Park, featuring sponsor activations, recovery areas, music, awards presentations and media moments, creating a vibrant atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
With a target of 2,000 runners, the event will also attract spectators, vendors and volunteers, making it a true community celebration.
Funds will be raised through event sponsorships, ticket sales and participant fundraising, with all direct donations and a portion of every ticket sale going directly to the Mark Hughes Foundation to support brain cancer research and patient support programs.
