In an amazing display of generosity, the rugby league community rallied to raise $2,619,000 in the NRL’s Beanie for Brain Cancer Round for the Mark Hughes Foundation funding brain cancer research.
Thousands of sports fans are being encouraged to ‘get their beanies on’ this week at Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium as part of the NRL’s Round 12 ‘Beanie for Brain Cancer Round’.
Beanie for Brain Cancer Round is back for 2018 in Round 12 of the NRL from May 24 to 27, aiming to raise the bar against a disease that still has no cure and no survivors.
Then one night in September that year, while sleeping, he had a Grand Mal seizure and his, and our lives changed forever. Yuka called an ambulance and he was taken to hospital and a CT scan showed a shadow on his brain.
