Dan’s Big Shave Raises Over $100,000

Federal MP for the Hunter Dan Repacholi is known for two things – his towering height and his very impressive beard.

So when word spread that Dan was shaving it all off, there was shock and disbelief across the Hunter! This morning on Channel 9’s The Today Show, we watched live as the beard came off – all in the name of charity.

Dan is generously donating the funds raised to three charities, including the Mark Hughes Foundation, and our very own Ambassador Kurt Gidley was there in Melbourne to witness the big shave in person.

Dan’s commitment to helping others is truly inspiring. Having lost his grandfather to brain cancer at an early age, Dan is passionate about supporting brain cancer research and raising awareness for those impacted.

We’re incredibly grateful to have such a dedicated advocate for health right here in the Hunter. A huge thank you to Dan and the local community for your generosity and support – together, we’re helping make a real difference in the fight against brain cancer.

Donate today & help beat brain cancer

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

That’s why we need your help. Every dollar helps in the fight against brain cancer. Your donation will go towards vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
