Garry Willgoose PhD Candidate Milestone

Congratulations to Christian Behler, recipient of the MHF Centre for Brain Cancer Research’s Garry Willgoose PhD Scholarship. Today, Christian was confirmed to proceed with his PhD.

Christian did a 25 minute presentation of his research proposal and his achievements-to-date to a panel of his peers and experts in the field at the Living Lab at the John Hunter Hospital on Tuesday December 3.

We’re all thrilled to see this important work reaching this crucial milestone.

Christian’s work will use computational modelling and data analysis in the use of MR (magnetic resonance) to explore the temperature of brain tumours, with the ultimate aim of expanding our knowledge of brain cancers to deliver better treatment outcomes.

Donate today & help beat brain cancer

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

That’s why we need your help. Every dollar helps in the fight against brain cancer. Your donation will go towards vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
