New publication from the MHF Centre team

MHF Centre PhD student James Brown-Miles has just had his worked published in Cancers [ link to paper: https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6694/18/4/645]. James is exploring how pre-operative imaging of glioblastoma can help us gain a better understanding of this lethal tumour and how it can ultimately be treated.

For this work, James has taken a deep-dive into previous imaging research to understand the gaps in what we know, and to identify the most promising methods moving forward, in line with the latest World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.

James worked on this paper with his research and supervisory team including MHF Centre Director Professor Mike Fay, MHF Centre Imaging Stream Leader Associate Professor Saad Ramadan, MHF Centre Translational Neuroscience Stream Leader Professor Hubert Hondermarck – along with medical imaging physicist Professor Peter Greer and Imaging expert Dr Oun Al-Iedani.

Congratulations James on this important step in your PhD journey.

Donate today & help beat brain cancer

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

That’s why we need your help. Every dollar helps in the fight against brain cancer. Your donation will go towards vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
