Update : Innovation Grants

The 2024 Mark Hughes Foundation Centre for Brain Cancer Research Innovation Grant scheme has been hugely successful, receiving 47 applications from researchers across Australia, of the 47 applications majority are new projects!

This is a significant increase on the ten applications we received in 2023, showcasing the incredible impact this funding is having on the brain cancer research landscape. Through dedicated funding, more researchers are turning their attention to brain cancer.

With thanks to the Mark Hughes Foundation community, these incredible researchers are one step closer to finding the next breakthrough in Brain Cancer Research. Stay tuned, as we’ll be announcing the successful applicants in early 2025!

Donate today & help beat brain cancer

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

That’s why we need your help. Every dollar helps in the fight against brain cancer. Your donation will go towards vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
