2023 Brain Cancer Patient Forum

We were so grateful to welcome patients & their carers to hear all the latest updates and research on topics in relation to brain cancer. We are sorry that the full day didn’t go to plan due to the weather but we hope everyone gained some important information and support to take away on their journey.

Our incredible Brain Care Coordinators Elise, Nicole and Natasha made all of it possible and it was wonderful to have them all together with Tash travelling down from Tamworth and Nic coming from Port Macquarie.

Thank you to our guest speakers Dr James Lynam, Medical Oncologist, Catherine Adams, Clinical Psychologist, Rebecca Mallett, Peace Of Mind CEO, Cassandra Griffin, Hunter Cancer Biobank Manager, Therese & Nicole, Palliative Care Nurse Practitioners, Dr Elizabeth Pepper, Neurologist, Mike Fay, Director – MHF Centre for Brain Cancer Research at the University of Newcastle. Again, we are very sorry to those that weren’t able to speak, we appreciate all the hard work and effort that went into each of these presentations.

Donate today & help beat brain cancer

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

That’s why we need your help. Every dollar helps in the fight against brain cancer. Your donation will go towards vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
