The Giving Machines are a worldwide initiative now introduced to the Hunter for the first time, proudly taking up residence at Charlestown Square, where every tap will directly impact lives right here in our community. Each machine partners with local charities to offer five meaningful donation options—from patient grip socks and paediatric patient care to homelessness support, medical services, and tutoring for rural communities—ranging from $5 to $200. Visitors simply select an item, watch the corresponding card drop, and can scan a QR code for a tax-deductible receipt. Donations are tracked in real time, and in early 2026, participating charities will receive the funds along with a record of items chosen, ensuring these vital services are delivered throughout the year.
MHF’s meaningful donation options include a teddy bear for a child in hospital, patient grip socks, a beanie for brain cancer patients, paediatric patient care and innovative research into brain cancer. The giving Machine will be at Charlestown Square, at the entry to the Food Court until December 28 (excluding Christmas Day).
