On October 25, a group of 22 men will embark on a challenging endurance journey spanning over 500 kilometres in Southeast Asia. Starting from Saigon, passing through Phnom Penh, and ending in Siam Reap, Cambodia, they will face extreme conditions including tropical heat and thunderstorms. Led by Mark Hughes with MHF Ambassadors Paul Harragon and Danny Buderus, the team will pay tribute to Australian Soldiers of the Vietnam War at significant battle sites like Long Tan Cross.
This year’s trek will fund the upgrade of the MRI scanner located at HMRI, an essential tool that drives forward our research into brain cancer. With this advanced technology, we’re taking a huge step towards better diagnosing and treating this challenging disease. By investing in this world-leading MRI system, you are enabling our local researchers to continue their vital work, ensuring that the MHF Centre remains at the forefront of brain cancer research and treatment.
Thank you to our major sponsor Club Maitland City and sponsors Hart Accountants, M&M Fisher Plumbing Services, Wilton Lemke Stewart, Duncon Homes, Hunter Imaging, Newcastle Herald and Fred Mayer Foundation for joining us in this fight and making a difference in the lives of countless individuals and their families.
Please help the trekkers reach their goal of $500,000 here.
