MHF Ball Works Its Magic with $234,398 Raised!

Last month, the Newcastle Exhibition & Convention Centre was transformed into a dazzling world of enchantment for our 8th annual MHF Magic Ball. With a sold-out crowd of 600 guests, led by Master of Ceremonies Peter Overton, it was once again the hottest event in town! The glamorous guests were treated to a trip down memory lane as Mark & Kirralee Hughes, alongside Danny Buderus and Paul ‘Chief’ Harragon, shared some fun and inspiring stories of how the foundation started from humble beginnings and grew to where it is today. After jaw-dropping performances from Akrobatika and Opera By Disguise, everyone hit the dance floor to celebrate 10 years of MHF Magic!

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that the Magic Ball raised an incredible $234,398 this year – a huge achievement made possible by the generosity and support of everyone involved.

A massive thank you to our amazing team and partners who helped make the night a huge success:
Scion Audio and Events, Blueberry Events, SMA Productions – Opera By Disguise, Chandeliers To Die For, The White Tree Band, Lee Academy – Akrobatika, Love Glows Letters Lights Love, Simple Booths, Magnetic Shots, Jennings Print, EMG Photography, Toybox Films, Auctioneer Scott Bailey, and our fantastic MHF Volunteers.

We also want to give a special shout-out to our Gold Sponsors: Australian Hotels Association – Newcastle Hunter, Avery Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics, and The MacDougall Foundation. Plus, a huge thanks to our Silver, Bronze, and Beverage Sponsors for their continued support and for making the night possible. We couldn’t do it without you!

Together, we’re making magic and moving closer to our goal of beating brain cancer. We can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Donate today & help beat brain cancer

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

That’s why we need your help. Every dollar helps in the fight against brain cancer. Your donation will go towards vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
