Row by row, a powerful show of community support from the Friday 400 Club and The Kids’ Cancer Project as they raised an incredible $115,872 for the Mark Hughes Foundation in the fight against brain cancer.
What started as a group of mates meeting for sunrise rowing, has grown into a fantastic network of supporters, rowing their way to make a difference both at a community-level as well as funding vital research and support for cancer patients. This July, the Friday 400 community turned out in force, with 35 teams taking on a gruelling 50km rowing challenge.
Overall, the 2026 event raised an extraordinary $247,195, which will support both the Mark Hughes Foundation and The Kids’ Cancer Project, helping fund research that aims to deliver better treatments and outcomes for cancer patients.
The event was attended by MHF co-founder Mark Hughes alongside MHF Ambassadors Anne Callander and family with Indy employing her trademark positivity in the challenge to push her fellow rowers further.
MHF is incredibly grateful to the Friday 400 Club and The Kids’ Cancer Project for once again standing alongside the MHF community in the fight against brain cancer. Every rower, volunteer, donor, sponsor and supporter who made this possible deserves the acknowledgement for the determination, generosity and community spirit which is helping give hope to patients and families across Australia.
