Narelle’s Story

‘This is my mum’s story.

Narelle Louise Millican not only my beautiful mum, she was an amazing nan to my boys Jai and Levi and a best friend Maxine for over 40 years. We have all lost a big part of our lives.

Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma on the 1st of September 2022. She had minor symptoms, just a little headache. The doctor sent her for a scan which found the tumour was 10cm and inoperable. Chemotherapy was not an option.

Mum lost almost all of her short term memory, her language deteriorated and she slept alot. Still, right up until her last breath all she was worried about was that everyone else was going to be ok. Her heart and soul were huge. We lost mum just a few days before Christmas just three months after diagnosis.

I want her legacy, her voice and her story to live on through me.

Her daughter, Stephanie.’

Donate today & help beat brain cancer

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

That’s why we need your help. Every dollar helps in the fight against brain cancer. Your donation will go towards vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
