If you need personal or financial assistance, there are various organisations that can provide support for people living with cancer, their families and carers. If you would like more information, please visit the following websites for support:

Brain Tumour Alliance Australia

Brain Tumour Alliance Australia (BTAA) is the national brain tumour patient and carer support organisation in Australia. It was established in late 2008 by a group of brain tumour patients, and current and former carers. While welcoming the advice and input of specialists, BTAA seeks to represent the brain tumour community from the viewpoint of the patient, their carers, and their families.

Peace of Mind Foundation

Peace of Mind Foundation is a nationwide not-for-profit organisation, providing ‘Here and Now’ support to brain cancer patients and their families across Australia. Peace of Mind’s mission is to give support, courage and community to brain cancer patients, their carers, family and loved ones.

Brainchild Foundation

Brainchild Foundation supports the families of children who have been affected by brain and spinal cord tumours. Brainchild Foundation is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of affected families through financial, emotional and educational support and to strive for a better outcome for future generations.

Cancer Council

Information and support is available for anyone affected by cancer, whether you are a patient, carer, family or friend. Peer support is available online, through phone contact one on one, or through a telephone support group dedicated to people living with brain cancer. Carers can also access a telephone support group and talk to others in a caring role.

Redkite

Redkite is a lifeline for families facing childhood cancer. Redkite is there with real emotional, financial and practical support for families who have a child with cancer (aged 18 and under). Because holding it together when your child’s life is in question can feel impossible.

Australian Cancer Trials

Australian Cancer Trials provides a database of research trials that are currently being carried out in Australia to find better ways of treating cancer. Cancer clinical trials are carefully designed research studies. A clinical trial aims to find out if a new treatment or procedure is safe and effective.

HealthDirect Australia

Healthdirect Australia is a national, government-owned, not-for-profit organisation. Healthdirect Australia provide trusted health services that are easily accessible via multiple channels — helplines, video call solutions, websites, service finders, mobile applications and social media networks.

Palliative Care Australia

Palliative Care Australia (PCA) is the national peak body for palliative care. PCA represents all those who work towards high quality palliative care for all Australians. Working closely with consumers, our Member Organisations and the palliative care workforce, we aim to improve access to, and promote the need for, palliative care.
