ABCARA Symposium 2024

This month, the Mark Hughes Foundation was privileged to become the Platinum Sponsor of the Australian Brain Cancer Research Alliance (ABCARA) Symposium in Melbourne.

The event featured two distinguished international speakers: Prof. Pim French from the ERASMUS MC Cancer Center in the Netherlands and Dr. Shawn Hervey-Jumper from the University of California San Francisco Brain Tumor Center, USA, alongside an impressive lineup of national speakers.

With over 90 delegates in attendance, ABCARA 2024 offered a fantastic day packed with insightful presentations, collaborative discussions, and an engaging poster session.

We are incredibly proud to be part of an initiative that brings researchers from around the world together, helping them collaborate and move closer to finding a cure!

Donate today & help beat brain cancer

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

That’s why we need your help. Every dollar helps in the fight against brain cancer. Your donation will go towards vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
